Bluff, don’t answer
Deflect, reframe, blame the vendor, use their acronym like you invented it. Lines that get past the room score BS points. Honest answers barely score.
Sorry, Just to Build on That… is a game about bluffing your way through a video call. Five AI colleagues, a real agenda, a ticking clock, and you, saying “let’s take that offline” with total conviction.
Desktop browser, sound on. Calls run in rush, a video-call app that is definitely not anything you use at work.
Five minutes. One agenda item. Every colleague is quietly deciding whether you are a fraud.
Deflect, reframe, blame the vendor, use their acronym like you invented it. Lines that get past the room score BS points. Honest answers barely score.
Every colleague has a BS meter. Fill the room’s and you are found out on the spot. Stall with a frozen camera when it gets hot. They will come back to it.
Shift the blame. Spin up a working group. Get someone to buy a number you made up. Each one lands a big callout and a pile of points.
New numbers land. The deadline moves. A colleague throws you under the bus. The CEO drops in. Share your screen and draw something. They will judge it.
Each colleague has their own agenda, memory and voice. They remember what you claimed ten minutes ago.
Has chaired four thousand meetings. Felt nothing in any of them. Wants an owner for every action, and it will be you.
Speaks fluent north star. Will ask how your answer ladders up. Does not know either.
Remembers every number you say and checks it against the last one. Sighs first.
Just wants to name that the room feels a bit unsafe right now. Is about to propose a pulse survey.
The only one who understands the topic. Knows the figure you quoted is wrong. Is waiting.
Drops in late, camera too close. Has two minutes and one terrifying question.
“Said ‘let’s align offline’ four times. Got promoted.” Senior Manager, Strategy
“Twelve minutes in before anyone realised I was talking about the wrong migration.” Programme Lead, probably
“Painfully accurate. I closed the tab and had to join a real one.” Everyone, eventually
Gillian is waiting. She has noted the time.
